The Bastide

This old farmhouse with its outbuildings, mentioned as from the War of Religions (1573), is ideally located opposite the village of Ménerbes, a village classified among the most beautiful villages of France, offering extraordinary views (and not overlooked by anyone!).

The bastide has been completely renovated, thought out and carried out by the owner. The whole work, from structure to finishing details, has been conducted following top-of-the-art practices, mostly by craftsmen of the region.

Today and after more than three years of work, the house offers four luxurious suites and a private villa.

The house

The owner, coming from five generations of antique dealers (since 1891), has furnished the bastide like asophisticated 18th century Provence mansion.

High-quality period furniture stamped by great cabinetmakers, from The Regence to Louis XVI, master paintings, rare and decorative objects are mixed with extra comfortable sofas, day beds and armchairs offering an elegant and contemporary atmosphere.

While benefiting from the ease of the technology of the 21st century (Home automation, air conditioning, security, etc.).

The Park and the Gardens

The estate also has a large enclosed park, (1,35 hectare), with an olive grove of century-old trees, an orchard of cherry, almond, fig and wild plum trees, and numerous terraces laid out as resting places scattered over the property.

Various gardens planted with Mediterranean species, a French style garden in front of the bastide, a large heated swimming pool (17 x 6 meters) with decks and furniture, outside shower, summer kitchen, electric plancha. In the undergrowth, a petanque ground (French bowling).

French garden, rose gardens, Mediterranean essences, lavender, myrtle and rosemary, yes, you are in Provence !
